No labels on fill: A location option has been added to allow labels not to be
printed when regular prescriptions are filled or refilled.
Go to settings/location and put "Y" in the no label on fill option field. Accountability e-signing must also be turned on.
In the task queue when e-signing, a 'print label' button will appear when a patient's prescriptions are displayed if nolabels is turned on and prep is unsigned for any item. Hitting the label button will print label for any scripts where prep needs to be signed if no items are selected for signing. If one or more items are selected for signing, labels will only be generated for those.

Safe supply prescription: When creating a new prescription, the script may be designated
as safe supply. Such scripts must be assigned a dispense rule where each daily witnessed dispense
quantity is assigned a time and the total daily carry quantity put in a time slot after all
witnessed times e.g. 1 tablet dispensed with 3 witnessed and 2 carrys would be entered in 4 times
with the last containing quantity 2.
New safe supply scripts entered are automatically not filled upon creation but are given active status. They may only be filled as batch scheduled items. When adding a safe supply item to the batch schedule, "Carry" may be checked to indicate there is a carry quantity associated with the prescription.
When filled in batch, Pharmanet automatically receives a transaction for each witnessed item and the carry (if there is one) with the correct intervention codes assigned.
Individual dispenses may be reversed in the prescription transaction history in the normal fashion. Pharmanet actually receives a new cross reference number for each safe supply transaction so they can be reversed correctly, but on the local system they are shown as regular transaction on the originating prescription.

- Renal prescription pricing allows OTC pricing: If a drug is in renal stock (i.e. is not used for regular prescriptions) and is given category type 'RENALOTC', the renal plan will be used for pricing the prescription instead of the usual first plan adjudicated.
-
Batch signing expanded: When batch signing, the user may now sign for id/allergy, prep,
finalcheck, and consult independently and at any time (defined by what is checked on the user
id entry line).
Whoever causes the batch to run is deemed to sign for netprofile access and DTP.
Items may be signed individually or in multiples as before.
When viewing an individual item to be signed, items already signed appear checked, those unchecked in green column(s) will be signed when the sign button is struck.
When multple signing any category, items already signed will not be overwritten.
If you only want to sign some rxs when signing for an individual patient, check the green column items for those you DO NOT WISH TO SIGN before signing. Likewise, if you wish to override what is previously signed, uncheck those items in the green column.

Renal Billing: Doing billing for the renal (REN) plan will now populate a spreadsheet the
agency is providing as follows:
- 'Drug' sheet will be populated with regular prescriptions items
- formulary nutritional supplement sheet will be populated with prescriptions where the drug category has been set to 'NutSupp'
- non-formulary nutritional supplement sheet will be populated with prescriptions where the drug category has been set to 'NutSuppSA'
Currently, delivery costs must be entered manually into the spreadsheet which is displayed at the end of the billing process or upon spreadsheet recall.
The spreadsheet generated will be named 'Renal.xlsx' and is written to the pdf folder path designated in System/Settings.
The transplant.txt file is generated as usual in the \Winrx folder.

Frequent Dispensing Authorization: Patient records have a field added for the frequency
of dispense authorization date.
All doctors assigned to the patient are deemed to be recipients of the FDA faxes required to be sent.
In the main screen, hitting the 'Freq Disp' button will generate an unsigned FDA report in patient documents. You will be presented with an option to collect the patient system using the delivery system, in which case no FDA report is printed. When the delivery system returns the signature, all faxes to be sent will automatically appear in the taskqueue in the Send tab.
If an FDA report is printed, have the patient sign it and in patient documents, scan it in or, if it is already scanned, select it to be added to the patient documents. The document itself will not be added to documents, the signature will be extracted and added to the FDA form already present and items will appear in taskqueue to be faxed.
In all cases, when items are put in the taskqueue to be faxed, all fields in the FDA form will be completed and the patient FDA date is set to the current date. If WinMail is not activated, the user must handle all form completion and faxing manually.
If a prescription arrives from a new physician, the dr will automatically be added to the patient doctor list and a fax item will be generated to be sent from the taskqueue. The patient FDA date remains unchanged.
If an attempt to dispense prescription when the current date is more than 7 days from the rx previous date (if there is a previous date), the FDA form for the patient must be regenerated. The patient FDA date is automatically reset to nothing.

OAT signing with lot/expiry: Although it is not legally mandatory to record lot
and expiry date detail on signing, it has been asked for in audits of OAT dispensing.
To support this, when signing for Prep on batch runs you are allowed to enter a gtin,
lot, and expiry date (scan the 2D code in the search field). Prep items not signed will
be returned and signing will include lot and expiry.
An "Unsigned OAT Prep" button is available in the History screen so you can see which OAT items need to be signed. For this to work, all OAT medications must have "OAT" in their drug record Category field and a GTIN specified.
17 March 2025
- Pharmanet Profiles: In each Settings/Location record a 'Pnet interval minutes' option has been added, default is 10 minutes. When a pharmanet profile is requested prior to doing a prescription, it is only done if the minutes specified have passed. This setting is terminal specific and allows profiles to be accessed when filling scheduled items prior to the actual refill process. Whoever did the last profile access is the signatory on any dispense following where e-signing is enabled.
-
Regular Scheduled Refills: For regular facility and scheduled rxs being filled, a View function is now available.
Given any Start Date now or in the future, when the patient begins taking the meds and the packaging interval dispensed, View shows what will be provided.
Prep signing of the dispenses (an option in the facility record) is now allowed if batch signing is enabled.
For facility refills, the start date is kept for the facility and the information can be referred to again without specifying the date or packaging interval. The data is analyzed for possible errors, compares the current dispenses with the last cycle of dispenses, and produces an inventory report on the dispensed items. When a new start date is entered that is greater than the current one, previous results are saved and may be viewed via the Archive function button.
For scheduled prescriptions, the View only provides data for the date specified and assumes a packaging interval of 1 day. No history is kept. Prescriptions being processed may be scheduled in two new ways:
1. Where a prescription is written for a dispense every some number of weeks, it may be scheduled with a startdate and the cycle length in days, the first day witnessed, the remaining days being carries. The program will automatically cause the prescription to be refilled again at the end of each cycle period.
2. For safe supply (and perhaps other situations) a prescription with dispense rules may be scheduled and each day the rules will be applied to determine the amount and times for administration. This integrates with the delivery system.
Scheduled items may now be batch signed if batch signing is enabled. Such items may be signed in the same manner as regular facility items but with a system provided facility code of SCHD.

When it is signed, that information is added to the signature log for the rx transaction to which it is relevant. If notifications are turned on, a notification the short amount is ready for pick-up is sent to the patient.
06 Mar 2024
- Plan specific intervention codes: You can now enter intervention codes specific to each third party plan. If there is no intervention code specified for the third party plan, the regular intervention code field is used as before. Intervention codes for BC Pharmanet are entered in the same place as before.

- Rx Status Tracking : In the local profile and rx update screens there is now a 'Track Status' button. This allows setting store memos and sending texts/emails to the patient or doctor relating to a particular prescription - - currently designed for when special authorities need to be in place before a prescription can be dispensed. Multiple communications can be sent at the same time within the communication screen and all are recorded so the progress towards dispense can be easily supported.

24 Feb 2024
- e-Signing auto notifications/refill reminders: In the patient screen, put a check in the 'Notifications' box and set the preferred contact method. When e-signing, when all the patient's prescriptions have 'final check' signed, a notification will be sent to the patient that their prescriptions are ready for pick-up. If the preferred contact method is 'Text' and the patient is using iEMR, a notification will be sent instead of a text. Refill reminders to the patient will also be scheduled to be sent 7 days prior to each prescription's next refill date. When prescriptions have the same refill date, only one reminder will be sent for that date. No reminder will be sent for PRN items.
20 Feb 2024
- Med Review 6 mon callback: An call back option is automatically requested after dispensing a med review service. To activate this, set memo days in the med review drug records to 185. Hint: to speed med review prescription entry, set the therapeutic category to 'SERVICE' and give them a drug type where there is a zero fee supplied so the 'Complete Rx' button is enabled as soon as the script is displayed.
20 Feb 2024
- Med Review Enhancements: A med review will not be allowed < 185 days from one done either locally or at another store. When a med review is done, a service transaction is generated and put on the ERX list for sending to pharmanet. Before the med review is finalized, a detected issue may be related to it by hitting the 'Issue detected' button. In this case, when the service is put on the ERX list, it is with pin 99000502. When a previous med review is accessed, an issue follow-up may be done which will result in a service transaction for pin 99000503. Only 2 issue follow-up transaction per med review will be allowed to be generated. If you have a copy of a med review from another clinic, you may create a new local med review with an attached issue detected. In that case, only the service transaction 99000503 will be generated for transmission. One follow-up may also be done.
- Logging patient communications: In the patient screen, hit the 'Life Tracking' button. In the window that opens, click on the Communication grid and hit 'Space'. A new communication will open. Select the recipient, enter the send date and note and hit 'Done'. A memo will be generated that you may later process to follow-up on a patient communication.
